THE QUELL SERIES

Quell is a photographic series of appropriated images extracted from Youtube videos where teenagers document themselves playing a risky and intimate asphyxiation game. Within the countless hours of crudely captured and degraded self-documentation, this project features moments in which violence, grace, eroticism and tenderness converge into solitary and painterly images.

ORBIT(FILM): I SEEN THE MOON

Curated by Mike Plante and Mark Elijah Rosenberg, Orbit(film) is a collaborative 80-minute omnibus movie about our solar system which uses the art of filmmaking to inspire the art of science and education. Within this framework, Cassidy and Shatzky made a short ruminative film about the moon, entitled I Seen the Moon.
